Elderflower Tonic “Fior di Sambuco”
The launch of Fior di Sambuco Tassoni BIO marks an absolute novelty on the premium beverage market, one that captures the scents and aromas of flowers and fruits in a glass. Since 2019 it has played a protagonist role in the new organic product line branded Tassoni. It is a sparkling soft drink with elderberry flower extract.
The Sambuco Nigra, a very common plant in many Italian regions with its scented white flowers to be found on flatland and in mountainous areas, is the main ingredient of this soft drink.
Its tiny flowers are extracted in water to obtain an infusion with a floral and fruity aroma recalling muscat. The cold-extracted peel of Sicilian lemons completes the fragrance and confers a typically fresh and tingling note. The recipe is short and sweet with very few ingredients, with no added artificial aromas or preservatives. Low in sugar and made from select organic ingredients, the product is bottled in glass to guarantee quality and safeguard the environment.
Fruit of an attentive research, the label beneath the Tassoni logo combines the purple colour of the berries and the delicate white of elderberry flowers. In 2018, Fior di Sambuco won the innovative product of the year award at the 66th edition of the Summer Fancy Food event in New York, considered to be the most important North American show in the Food & Beverage industry.
